Bike to Work Day

Air up those tires and saddle up: It's time for Bike to Work Day.

Bike to Work Day is an annual event that encourages commuters to leave the car at home for a day, skip the gridlock and start the work day with a workout.

This year, local restaurants are offering discounts on Bike to Work Day for any riders who stop by a refresher station or participate at work through their wellness office. Check out the discounts section for more information.

Find a route

Participate in a Bike to Work Day ride led by Mayor Betsy Price, or choose your own path using the safe bike paths on the map.

Red bicycles and colored lines represent recommend bike routes. Blue faucets mark refresher stations. Green dollar signs mark businesses offering discounts to Bike to Work Day riders. View a larger version of the map and the full legend.

Participate in the mayor's ride

The mayor will lead a ride from Magnolia and Lipscomb, departing at 7:45 a.m. and heading to the Intermodal Transportation Center, 1001 Jones St. The route is labeled on the map in red.


Bike to Work Pin

Pick up a Bike to Work Day pin at a refresher station (while supplies last), and get discounts at these businesses May 19.

Refresher stations are located at Magnolia and Lipscomb avenues, Trinity Park, UNT Health Science Center and the Intermodal Transportation Center.

Partcipating through your workplace? Contact your company's wellness office to when you ride to work May 15-19 to get your pin.
