William “Bill” Durkin joined the City Attorney’s Office in May 1999. He prosecutes city code violations, such as nuisance, building, zoning, animal and health violations; Planning & Development Department gas well, building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, sign, and zoning violations; as well as Environmental Management Division, Fire Department and Water Department violations. Durkin also represents the city in dangerous dog and animal cruelty hearings.

Prior to joining the City Attorney’s Office, Durkin was a Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney (1987-1998) and an assistant city attorney for the City of Austin (1985-1987).
