Stomp out litter in your neighborhood Oct. 20

North Crowley High School organized a Neighborhood Litter Stomp team in 2011.

You and your neighbors can help beautify Fort Worth by participating in the second annual Fall Neighborhood Litter Stomp on Oct. 20. The event is sponsored by Keep Fort Worth Beautiful, the city’s Code Compliance Department and the Neighborhood Education Division.

Last year hundreds of residents old and young organized cleanup activities in their neighborhoods and had a lot of fun doing it. This is a great opportunity to involve your neighbors — especially the youth — and perhaps host a cookout or party afterwards. You pick the area to clean up: your own neighborhood, the park down the street, the greenbelt, the neighborhood schoolyard.

The neighborhood group with the most participants under 18 will receive a $200 Lowe’s gift card to continue beautification efforts.
