East Third Street to be restriped Saturday

East Third Street from Grove Street to Terry Street will be restriped Oct. 6, weather permitting.

The city recently installed an all-way stop at the East Third and Grove streets intersection in the central business district because of intersection sight-distance safety concerns. While sight-distance was resolved, field observations revealed traffic delays during late-afternoon hours.

To minimize these delays, the city will restripe East Third Street from Grove to Terry streets to allow two eastbound through lanes east of Grove Street.
