Enjoy the Great Outdoors in the heart of the city

Fall is one of the most pleasant times in Fort Worth, so get ready to enjoy some outdoor family fun at Fort Worth Great Outdoors, noon-6 p.m. Oct. 13 at Greenbrier Community Center, 5200 Hemphill St. Admission is free; parking is $5 per vehicle.

The event will offer a wide range of activities — those that usually take you well outside city limits — right in the heart of Fort Worth, including:

Kayaking
Hunter and angler education
Archery
Climbing
Mountain biking
Kayaking.
Outdoor cooking

The event will feature live music and entertainment, food trucks and a kid zone.
