Recycling Christmas — what to do with live trees
Posted Dec. 20, 2012
Live Christmas trees can be disposed of as part of the normal weekly yard waste pickup following the holidays.

All the trees collected in Fort Worth are recycled into mulch.
Trees must be less than eight feet long; cut trees in two pieces if necessary. Be sure to take all your decorations, lights and tree stands off of the tree before you place it on the curb or take it to one of the city’s three drop-off stations. Do not put the tree in a plastic bag. Flocked trees are accepted; artificial trees are not accepted for yard waste collection.
