Junk Vehicles
A vehicle is considered a junk vehicle if a vehicle is visible and
- does not have a current license plate or a valid motor vehicle inspection certificate, and is not capable of passing a state motor vehicle inspection
- any wrecked, dismantled or partially dismantled vehicle
- on private property, any vehicle not working for more than 20 consecutive days, or on public property, any vehicle not working for more than 72 consecutive hours.
Junk vehicle owners face fines as high as $200 and the vehicle may be towed away and destroyed.
