Zoning Issues
Zoning helps city government regulate congestion on streets, prevent overcrowding, maintain property values and ensure the health, safety and general welfare of residents.

Code Compliance routinely investigates violations, which often include:
- Automobile repair shops, wrecking yards and daycares operated in residential
- Zoning
- Outside storage
- Encroachment of a right of way
- Unpermitted garage sales
- Fence regulations.
Violators are issued a written notice directing that the violation be corrected. Illegal uses of zoned areas can result in a fine of up to $2,000 for each offense.
