Why is this important?
Satisfaction ratings allow library staff to assess the effectiveness and desirability of services offered. Some of those services include: books and other materials in the library collection that are available to be checked out, computers and printing equipment, online digital resources that can be accessed in libraries or remotely from home or office, early education literacy, informative and cultural programs, and workforce training classes.
This customer satisfaction rating has been at or about 90 percent annually without significant variance. This indicates that there is a high degree of overall satisfaction with the services provided. The Library continually reviews its programs to assess popularity and performance and pilots new programs to keep up with trends and technological advancements. Two examples of services being piloted in 2017 are the Panther Lab Makerspace at the Northwest Branch Library and the Passport Application Acceptance service at the Central Library.
