Community Engagement

The Community Engagement team works with residents on building neighborhood capacity and the developing communication networks of city stakeholders, such as faith-based groups, neighborhood associations, schools and non-profit organizations vital to the success of city initiatives and programs.

The Neighborhood Awards are conducted annually to recognize community efforts to revitalize, socialize, engage, collaborate, get healthy and communicate with neighbors. Neighborhoods are recognized for beautification and revitalization efforts, social and cultural events, collaborative projects, health and wellness efforts and excellent communications efforts.

Award categories include:

  • Spirit of Fort Worth
  • Mayor's Civic Engagement and Community Collaboration Award
  • Mayor’s Health and Wellness Award
  • Code Compliance Officer of the Year

All 2019 Neighborhood Awards Applications must be received by 5 p.m. by Thursday, Dec. 12.

All award recipients will be announced at The Mayor’s Community Engagement Workshops & 2018 Neighborhood Awards Luncheon on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
