The City of Fort Worth's City News presents a weekly article highlighting a local history topic using photographs found in the Library's archives. The Fort Worth Library has approximately 10,000 items pertaining to the history of Fort Worth and Tarrant County. These items include city and county government documents, newspapers, directories, cemetery association records, maps as well as popular and scholarly books written by local authors or about local subjects. 1905 ad showed a dandy of a modern windmill

A 1905 advertisement for the Dandy Windmill, found in the Cattle Raisers' Association of Texas souvenir program, provides entertaining examples of ranch life with both a traditional windmill and the modern Dandy windmill.
