Greenfield Elementary’s Green Team students are setting the bar high when it comes to picking up litter at their school.

Every Friday, Ms. Mess’s fourth grade class heads out to the playground with trash bags in hand. The students started weekly cleanups after talking with Tom Bainter, a Keep Fort Worth Beautiful board member and classroom mentor.

Mr. Street – a fifth grade teacher and another litter prevention champion – asks his students to bring cans and bottles they find around the school to the classroom recycling bins so they can clearly see the difference their actions are making.

Greenfield Elementary received 43 classroom recycle bins during the 2011-2012 school year from Keep Fort Worth Beautiful.

Thank you for doing your part to keep our city beautiful, Greenfield!
