School Green Teams

Calling all Fort Worth schools! Start or expand a recycling program at your school with Keep Fort Worth Beautiful.

KFWB provides free six-gallon recycle bins to any school located within Fort Worth city limits in exchange for completing a simple application.

School recycling programs are most successful when they create a Green Team. The core Green Team members include a teacher, a student, an administrator, a custodian and a parent to encourage involvement from all levels of the school community.

Green Team members receive Keep Fort Worth Beautiful’s quarterly Green Team newsletter, where schools can learn about volunteer and training opportunities, get a heads-up on eco-contests and collect ideas from other Green Teams featured in every issue.

Track your volunteer hours

Students can use the city’s volunteer website to track hours they dedicate to litter cleanups and other Green Team activities outside of school hours. Activities can be done individually or as part of a group or club, and must have an environmental benefit. Sign up today.

More ways to recycle right
