Fines may be paid by credit card online through the online catalog’s My Account page. Login to your library account and click on the link to make a payment.
A separate security login is required to access the service. Payment services are hosted on a secure server authenticated by VeriSign Trust Network, the industry leader in secure Internet transaction services.
TeleMessaging is the Library’s automated telephone circulation system. Call TeleMessaging at 817-871-7771 for information about your library account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You’ll need your library barcode number, your PIN, a touchtone phone, and any items you’re renewing.
TeleMessaging is available in English and in Spanish.
The Library contacts customers by letter, phone or e-mail when fines are unpaid. But after 60 days overdue, accounts will be referred to collection agency Unique Management. The agency will send a letter reminder to the customer providing straightforward instructions on how to clear accounts and pay the balance due (including an added $10 collection charge).
A second letter will be sent if no response is received within 10 days. After two weeks, Unique Management will make two attempts to contact patrons by phone. At 164 days overdue, unpaid accounts will be reported to credit bureaus.
Accounts for cardholders 17 years of age and under are handled by the parent and/or guardian.
