Class Schedule

Classes are held each month at the eSkills Library & Job Center and are conducted by Workforce Solutions, Tarrant County Community College and library staff. Classes are free to the public.  Unless otherwise noted, the classes do not require advanced registration.

Affordable Care Act Information Sessions

Join us at an information session to learn about the ACA and the Marketplace. At the end of the presentation, you will have an opportunity to search the Marketplace website and, if you choose, enroll in the Marketplace. Information specialists will direct you to the resources, help you navigate the information and answer basic questions, but cannot offer medical advice, suggest insurance plans, make payments, view medical information or fill out applications.

What should you bring to the class?

  1. Social Security numbers or citizenship/immigration documents for everyone in your household, even those not applying for coverage.
  2. Verification of income for every member of your household, for example, paycheck stubs, tax returns or W-2 forms.
  3. Policy numbers for any existing health insurance plans.
  4. Username and password for your email account.
  5. Username and password for your Healthcare.gov account (if you already have one).

Basic Keyboarding

Learn how to operate the keyboard, mouse, & monitor. You will learn what fingers to use with what keys, increase your typing speed and learn the in’s and out’s of the keyboard.

Computer Basics

Basic computer class teaches participants how to operate a computer, how to use Microsoft Word and tests typing skills.

Fatherhood (FACT) Program

Provide fathers (and parents) of minor children with a variety of free services that will help them reach their full potential as parents, providers and partners.

GED Classes (taught in English)

PC for Beginners

Basic computer class teaches participants how to operate a computer, how to use Microsoft Word and tests typing skills.

Workplace Spanish for Beginners

This class is designed for adults who know very little or no Spanish.  Although any adult is welcome to attend the class, it is specifically designed for adults who wish to learn Spanish for the purpose of using it in the workplace.  The class covers basic grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, commonly used verbs, and everyday concepts.  In order to maximize the benefits of attending this class, students will need to devote time outside of class to practicing and reviewing material learned in class.  The class series runs for eight weeks.

Level I

Microsoft Excel II

The Microsoft Excel class covers the basic functions of the program: adding/deleting columns and rows, and creating a spreadsheet.
