Designed for families, these programs include book discussions, presentations, crafts and games.
Children are invited to read one-on-one to trained therapy dogs for 10 minutes at a time. This program is designed for children who might have difficulty reading, a speech impediment or just need practice reading aloud.
Worth Reading (#wr365) aims to get everyone in Fort Worth reading, learning and having fun – all year long.
A partnership between the library, Fort Worth ISD and other community organizations, Worth Reading expands and enhances the traditional summer reading program, offering activities and programs at locations throughout the Metroplex.
The program is divided into four-month chapters, each with its own activities and prizes. The current chapter runs May 1 – Aug. 31, 2017.
