Gina Puente-Brancato (1969 - ), a Fort Worth, Texas native, began helping at the family business Southwest Office Solutions at the age of eight. She degreed in broadcast journalism at Texas Christian University but found her true calling in the business field.
In 1995, she solely created Gina Puente Ventures dba La Bodega Winery as her first business venture. The company was the world’s first airport winery and operates out of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Family business enterprises include Puente-Brancato Enterprises, Inc., Venturas Puente, Inc., Puente Concessions, La Buena Vida Vineyards, V. Puente Currency, Inc., Via Trofie and LBW Charters.
Gina Puente-Brancato has received innumerable awards including Enterprising Woman of the Year, Latina Entrepreneur of the Year, Fort Worth and Texas Hispanic Business Woman of the Year awards, Blazing Star Award, Latina Women’s Recognition Award, Dallas Business Journal Most Influential Woman Award and Retail Concessionaire of the Year. She is active in the community and serves on several local boards.
The collection was donated to the library by Gina Puente-Brancato on September 12, 2007.
Scope and Contents Note
The Gina Puente-Brancato Collection consists of two legal size archival boxes of documents comprising 1 linear foot. The collection consists of materials documenting the entrepreneurial endeavors of the Puente-Brancato family in the wine industry 1994-2008. Included in the collection are newspaper clippings; journal articles; press releases; journals; and newsletters.
