Mildred Pauline Hickman Gillette


Mildred Pauline was married to Vernon G. Gillette. She was very active in the community including memberships in the Fort Worth Genealogical Society, Hon. Edward H. Tarrant Chapter US Daughters of 1812, Colonial Dames of the Seventeenth Century and Mary Isham Keith Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Gillette died on May 6, 1985 and is buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery.


The collection was donated by the Gillette family in 1992.

Scope and Contents Note

The collection consisted originally of twelve large boxes and was transferred to twenty-five archival boxes. The papers include information on the Hickman family and several related families. The collection was compiled from 1965 - 1983. Some of the related families are Ashley, Batson, Bell, Bond, Bounds, Breland, Brooks, Collins, Cruthirds, Evans, Fairley, Freeman, Gartman, Hartman, Hartsog, Hatten, Hester, Hill, Holcombe, Hudson, Jarrell, Keys, King, Landrum, Lott, McMillian, McQuagged, Miles, Moore, O’Neal, Page, Perkins, Pierce, Price, Redmond, Rouse, Scarborough, Slade, Smith, Summerall, Swilley, Taylor, Wedgeworth, Welborn and Wilson. The collection was processed by Vernon Gillette 2nd.
