The Critic was a ‘militant’ weekly published in Fort Worth, Texas, every Saturday, beginning on December 11, 1915. The mission of The Critic was to “champion the causes and protect the elements that are making Fort Worth the best town in which to live and do business in the Southwest.” The Critic was the work of Garfield Crawford and Kitty Barry Crawford.

Scope and Contents Note
The Critic consists of issues dating from the newspaper’s inception on December 11, 1915 through December 15, 1917. In addition, there are two single editions dating September 15, 1917 and August 31, 1918. The materials measure 1.6 linear feet (2 boxes). The Critic is also available on microfilm, which is housed with the Fort Worth Texahoma Bugler and the Taliaferro Target.
