The Gruen Plan

The Gruen Plan: A Greater Fort Worth Tomorrow was a plan for renovating downtown Fort Worth to alleviate surface traffic congestion. Architect, Victor Gruen fathered and proposed to implement the plan in the City of Fort Worth. Gruen’s development plan incorporated expressways surrounding the downtown area, parking facilities that would give pedestrians no more than a 2 ½ minute walk from their automobiles to the business district and shopping malls.
