Weldon I. Hudson (1916-2007) was born in Dublin, Texas. After serving in the Coast Guard during World War II, he settled in Richland Hills, Texas and worked for many years for the U.S. Postal Service. In his retirement, Mr. Hudson performed paid genealogical research until five years before his death. Mr. Hudson served as president of the Fort Worth Genealogical Society and was also a member of the Texas State Genealogical Society.
Mr. Hudson donated his client records to the Library a few years before his death in 2007.
Scope and Description
The Weldon Hudson Collection consists of genealogical research Mr. Hudson conducted for clients and comprises 4.3 linear feet. The materials date from 1908-2002; the majority of which dates from 1977-2000. The collection is organized alphabetically in 12 boxes and includes correspondence, research materials, newspaper clippings, receipts, and photographs.
