There will be plenty of mystery and suspense at the inaugural Fort Worth Library Author Series, beginning in September. The library welcomes four popular authors who will walk us down the path they take when writing their fictional favorites. From a forensic anthropologist to a former member of an apocalyptic cult, these authors are sure to leave you with some memorable tales.
- 6:30 - 8 p.m. Thu., Sept. 24, Central
From teaching FBI agents how to detect and recover human remains, to separating and identifying commingled body parts, forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs has brought her own dramatic work experience to her mesmerizing forensic thrillers, the Temperance Brennan novels. Our second visiting author is Texas resident Taylor Stevens, award-winning New York Times best-selling author of the critically acclaimed Vanessa Michael Munroe series. Raised in countries around the world, her books are international boots-on-the-ground thrillers featuring a mercenary information hunter along the lines of Jason Bourne and Jack Reacher.

Craig Johnson is the author of eight novels in the Walt Longmire mystery series, which has garnered popular and critical acclaim. Wyoming county sheriff Walt Longmire is the basis for the hit Netflix series Longmire, starring Robert Taylor, Lou Diamond Phillips and Katee Sackoff.
So make a point to join us for any and all of the above Wordslingers visits. You’ll get to meet face-to-face with some of your favorite writers, hear about their amazing life experiences, and get valuable advice on penning a book of your own.
