eSkills Library & Job Center Classes

Classes are held each month at the eSkills Library & Job Center and are conducted by library staff and other partner organizations. Classes are free to the public. Unless otherwise noted, the classes do not require advanced registration.

Computer Basics

Basic computer class teaches participants how to operate a computer, how to use Microsoft Word and tests typing skills.

GED Classes (taught in English)

Prepare to take the GED. Classes are taught by Tarrant County College District. Registration is required. Please contact the branch at 817-392-6621 for more information or to register.

Intermedia IT

Students will be able to understand the following: Common operating systems, identifying common programs, using software management best practices, identifying alternative technologies, and explaining the features of wireless devices.

Keyboarding Basics

Learn how to operate the keyboard, mouse, & monitor. You will learn what fingers to use with what keys, increase your typing speed and learn the in’s and out’s of the keyboard.

Microsoft PowerPoint

Workshop provides individuals instruction on using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Workshop provides individuals instruction on using Microsoft Word.

Computer Classes (taught in Spanish)

Learn and improve your computer skills. In these free classes, you will learn basic computer concepts, how to use email, the fundamentals of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and strategies for browsing the Internet.

Microsoft Excel I

The Microsoft Excel class covers the basic functions of the program such as inserting formulas, and formatting and charts and graphs.

Microsoft Publisher I

This Microsoft Publisher class covers the basic functions of the program such as creating a publication, designing a project such as flyer saving and printing the publication.

This Microsoft Publisher class covers the basic functions of the program such as creating a publication, designing a project such as invitation saving and printing the publication.

This Microsoft Publisher class covers the basic functions of the program such as creating a publication, designing a project such as calendar saving and printing the publication.

The Microsoft Word class covers the basic functions of the program such as cutting/pasting; formatting text appearance; creating numbered and bulleted lists.

The Microsoft Word class covers the basic functions of the program such as using the different templates and creating a Resume.
