Take a musical journey from the early 20th-century roots of jazz to the diverse sounds of today at the Fort Worth Library’s 3rd Thursday Jazz Series, featuring a dynamic lineup of local and internationally touring artists.

2017 is our 8th Season!

All concerts start at 6:30 p.m. and are at the Central Library

Schedule

Enjoy the swinging, funky jazz of pianist and composer Horace Silver. His music, along with other jazz greats, defined ‘soul jazz’.

July 20: The Bobby Falk Group

September 21: The Vandell Andrew Quintet

New Orleans born and bred saxophonist Vandell Andrew and his quintet bring his home town to the library. He is known for his Billboard Top 10 hits, Let’s Ride and Back At It, and was a 2014 Soul Train Award Nominee for Best Contemporary Jazz Performance.
