Retrospective: Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth 125th Anniversary

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth was founded in 1892 by a group of 25 women with a goal of introducing culture to the city and was originally chartered as the Fort Worth Public Library and Art Gallery. In 1954, a separate institution was established as the Fort Worth Art Center. The Modern Art Museum’s present name and mission were adopted in 1987. This exhibit celebrates 125 years of art in Fort Worth.

On display in the West Wing of the Central Library from April 17 to July 6, 2017.
