Genealogy Drop-In

In celebration of Family History Month, the library joins the Genealogy Network of Texas, facilitated by the Genealogy Center of Waco-McLennan County Library, for a state-wide collaborative event with a series of live streamed programs with up-to-date topics.

Drop-in for as many webinars as you like! Each session is about one hour and for adults.

11 a.m.: Discovering Your Ancestors’ Land Holdings in the Texas General Land Office presented by Kevin Klaus, Information Specialist, Texas General Land Office Archives and Records
Noon: Genealogy Basics: Getting Started on Your Family Tree presented by Carl Smith, Genealogy Librarian, Montgomery County Memorial Library System
1:40 p.m.: Organizing and Preserving Photograph Collections presented by Ari Wilkins, Library Associate, Dallas Public Library
2:50 p.m.: Locating Ancestors on the Dawes Roll presented by Kathy Huber, Manager, Tulsa City County Library Genealogy Center
4 p.m.: Using Autosomal DNA Testing to Solve Genealogy Brick Walls presented by Drew Smith, Assistant Librarian, USF Tampa Library Academic Services, co-hosted by Genealogy Guys Podcast
