As 2015 comes to an end, FitWorth is gearing up for an exciting challenge to begin 2016.

The 2016 FitWorth Challenge runs from Jan. 25-March 4. Participants form teams of two to 10 people and track activity minutes and weight loss during the six-week period.

Again this year, participants will be rewarded for completing designated bonus activity events.

Registration fee is $20 per person and includes a FitWorth Challenge T-shirt, weekly newsletters and access to the FitWorth Track portal, which offers recipes, workout videos, nutrition tracking and fitness tips.

Ten percent of registration fees support FitWorth’s work with children in local schools and community centers.

Register via email.

Mayor Betsy Price and FitWorth celebrated Carter Park Elementary as the first place winner of the 2015 FitWorth Mayor’s Challenge. With nearly 33,000 children participating at 113 Fort Worth ISD elementary, middle and high schools, 2015 was the biggest year yet for the challenge and engaged more schools than ever before.
