Two challenges help you meet your fitness goals

Need help with those New Year’s fitness resolutions? Fort Worth has two ongoing health-oriented challenges that might provide the boost you need.

FitWorth Corporate Challenge

The FitWorth Corporate Challenge begins Jan. 25 and runs for four weeks. This is an engaging tracking competition between Fort Worth businesses and organizations.

The 2016 FitWorth Challenge is a fun, inspirational way to make a positive changes in your life. Form teams of up to 10 participants to motivate and support each other in achieving fitness and weight loss goals. Participate as a company or a team of friends and family.

During these weeks, participants are rewarded for completing activities and attending events around the community that support a healthier Fort Worth. Events include those by organizations like Blue Zones Project, Cowtown Marathon, Tarrant Area Food Bank and others.

It’s Time Texas Community Challenge

In addition to local initiatives like FitWorth and the Blue Zones Project, Fort Worth residents have a chance to celebrate our commitment to health by stepping up and winning a statewide challenge called It’s Time Texas.

Register at FitWorth Track then register to share your FitWorth Challenge results in the statewide competition. Track your activity on FitWorth Track and upload healthy selfies whenever you’re making healthy choices.

Employers, educators and faith-based leaders can earn points for Fort Worth by signing up and working to get their staff, students and congregations moving more and eating better.
