MedStar Mobile Healthcare, the exclusive ambulance service provider to Fort Worth and 14 other North Texas cities, has received reaccreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS).

Of the approximately 2,500 licensed ambulance providers in North America, only 172 are CAAS accredited, and MedStar is one of seven accredited ambulance services in Texas.

Accreditation means the community can be confident that MedStar is providing the highest level of patient care quality, and that it stands ready to care for residents when needed.

“The AMAA Board is very proud of the MedStar team,” said District 3 Councilmember Zim Zimmerman, chairman of the Area Metropolitan Ambulance Authority (AMAA). “This year, we received the National Safety Council and TxDOT Safe Driving Award, an AMBY Award from the American Ambulance Association and an EMS10 Innovation Award from the Journal of Emergency Medical Services. Our CAAS reaccreditation is the crown jewel in an amazing year for Team MedStar.”
