Battle of the Badges pits police, firefighters

Get ready for a battle between Fort Worth’s Finest and Fort Worth’s Bravest.

The Fort Worth Police Department’s hockey team will play their counterparts from the Fort Worth Fire Department in the Battle of the Badges at 6 p.m. March 12 at Dr Pepper StarCenter, 1400 S. Pipeline Road in Euless.

Proceeds benefit the family of Officer Tray Whitworth, who drowned Aug. 21, 2015, at Lake Murray State Park while scuba diving. Whitworth had been a Fort Worth police officer since 1998.
