The Earth Party is a family event that celebrates everything green and sustainable in Fort Worth. The fifth annual event is set for noon-4 p.m. April 3 at Magnolia Green, located on Lipscomb Street between Magnolia Avenue and Rosedale Street.
The Earth Party includes educational booths, children’s activities, a tree giveaway and prizes, including four Fort Worth staycation packages.
This year’s entertainment includes performances by The BlueBonnets, Fort Worth’s Cut Throat Finches and Jessica Kosine. The BlueBonnets feature Kathy Valentine, formerly with the Go-Go’s.
- The recycled fashion show is organized by students from Monnig Middle School and others.
- Master Composters exhibit.
- Fort Worth Water Department will demonstrate water conservation techniques.
- Vendors will provide education about air and water quality.
In the past, the Earth Party has been held the same day as the Cowtown Great American Cleanup, but this year it will be held the day after. The 31st annual Cowtown Great American Cleanup is set for April 2.
