The Fort Worth Library is now a passport acceptance facility for U.S. citizens on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.
Passport applications will be accepted by appointment only. Call 817-392-7127 or email the library for an appointment, available from 2-7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and noon-5 p.m. Saturdays. Appointments are on the lower level of the Central Library, 500 W. Third St.
In 2015, Tarrant County discontinued offering passport acceptance services, leaving area post offices as the main providers of passport services in Fort Worth. Recognizing the community’s need for additional passport acceptance facilities, the library applied to be an acceptance facility and was approved by the State Department.
