With over 340 capital improvement projects across Fort Worth, residents are familiar with construction and impacts to everyday life. One such project is complete and two others are in the final stages and will wrap up in late spring. Here are a few notable updates.

Timberland and Park Vista

Construction continues on Timberland and Park Vista boulevards. Relocation of gas and telephone lines has been completed at the intersection of Park Vista Boulevard and West Caylor Road.

Installation of underground storm drains and water lines will begin in January after the holiday season. Roadway pavement construction will begin in February. Motorists should expect delays during roadway pavement construction. To avoid delays, motorists should seek alternate routes and observe traffic signage and flaggers.

The project is scheduled to be completed in April 2017.

Dirks and Altamesa

Altamesa Boulevard from the Chisholm Trail Parkway to Granbury Road is scheduled to be completed by the end of April 2017. The westbound retaining wall is under construction and will be finished in January.

Lowering of the water line near the Granbury Road intersection will begin in January after the holiday season. Construction of the westbound roadway will begin in February.

Mesa Verde

Construction is finished on Mesa Verde Trail. A storm drain on Mesa Verde Trail from Mesa Verde Court to Basswood Boulevard was installed to alleviate flooding.
