Texas, Louisiana have the worst drivers

Texas is tied with Louisiana for the worst drivers in the country.

The Lone Star State slipped from fourth-worst to tied-for-worst in an analysis by Car Insurance Comparison, which analyzed National Traffic Safety Administration data. The study looked at road fatalities, failure to obey road rules, drunk driving incidents and more.

Drivers in Texas ranked third for drunk driving, ninth for speeding and ninth for fatality rate per 100 million vehicle miles traveled.
