MLK Celebration set for Jan. 13

The 32nd annual Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Celebration, sponsored by the City of Fort Worth Martin Luther King Jr./Juneteenth Employee Committee, is planned for noon Jan. 13 in Council Chambers at City Hall, 200 Texas St. The public is invited.

The theme is “We Aare All Equal. Let Us Keep the Dream Alive.” The keynote speaker will be Vivian G. Wells, former legal assistant to Judge L. Clifford Davis, which allowed her a front-row seat to witness numerous civil rights advancements in North Texas.

The master of ceremonies will be Stacy E. Marshall, executive director of Southeast Fort Worth Inc.

The event will include live entertainment, music, vendors and more.
