Learn about the It’s Time Texas Community Challenge and take a lunchtime walk in downtown Fort Worth at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 13. Meet in Sundance Square Plaza.

The It’s Time Texas Community Challenge is an easy and fun way for entire Texas communities to demonstrate their commitment to healthy living. The challenge is being brought to Fort Worth by FitWorth and Blue Zones Project.

Besides the lunchtime walk, participants earn points by participating in a variety of healthy activities, such as posting “healthy selfies,” hosting healthy community events and tracking physical activity.

The challenge will run Jan. 9-March 31. The winning community will receive funds from It’s Time Texas to put toward health efforts.
