Construction around City Hall to change traffic flow and direction of parking

Archived Content Information and links provided may no longer be accurate.

Roadway resurfacing and pavement markings will be installed on several streets around City Hall, and the direction of traffic and parking will change to allow for better traffic flow around the building.

After paving and striping work are completed, Jennings Avenue from Texas Street to West 10th Street will change from a southbound one-way street to a northbound only one-way street.

Parking on Jennings, 10th and Monroe streets around City Hall will change to angled, back-in parking.

Work is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., Feb. 10 and be finished by 5 p.m., March 4.

Throughout the process, street closures are necessary so motorists and pedestrian traffic should plan to use alternative routes.

Street closures:

  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Feb. 10

Jennings Avenue from West 10th Street to East Lancaster

  • 6 p.m., Feb. 10 to 9 p.m. Feb. 11; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 18, 25 and March 4

Jennings Avenue from West 10th Street to East Lancaster Avenue

Monroe Street from West 10th Street to West 13th Street

West 10th Street from Taylor Street to Jennings Avenue

Texas Street from Taylor Street to Jennings Avenue

Motorists, bicyclist and pedestrians are encouraged to observe signage and seek alternate routes.
