The Fort Worth Police Officers Association Cops for Kids program has served more than 5,000 disadvantaged children by providing gifts to hospitalized children, scholarship opportunities, school supplies and social activities.

Join many of Fort Worth’s Finest on the banks of the Trinity River at Panther Island Pavilion for the third annual Cops 4 Kids barbecue cook-off, car show and Chisholm Trail Music Festival.

All the proceeds from the March 24-25 event go to support Fort Worth Cops 4 Kids.

Dozens of barbecue cooking teams will compete for top honors, with more than $7,500 in cash and prizes.

Early additions to the band lineup include Justin Frazell, The Highway Women, Deryl Dodd, Matt Wayne and Co. and Austin Allsup. More acts will be announced soon. General admission is free.

Cops for Kids shows local law enforcement’s concern for children in the community by encouraging them to build stronger family relationships, foster quality friendships, with a focus on education.
