Public Art seeking residents' input on 2018 funding

Share your thoughts on the draft public art fund budget request during a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. March 22 at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, 1300 Gendy St.

Each year, the Art Commission requests an allocation from the Water and Sewer Fund for cash financing of capital projects to support public art administration, collection management and public art projects and initiatives. After receiving public comment, the Art Commission submits a formal request as part of the city’s annual budget process, which will culminate with City Council adoption of the fiscal year 2018 budget in September.

Fort Worth residents are encouraged to participate in the public hearing or to submit written comments via email or by mail at:

Fort Worth Public Art is a city program created to enhance the visual environment, commemorate the city’s rich cultural and ethnic diversity, integrate artwork into the development of the city’s capital infrastructure improvements and promote tourism and economic vitality.
