Competition yields visionary proposals for future bus stops

In an effort to improve the bus stop experience for Fort Worth transit users, Leadership Fort Worth sought ideas for sustainable, functional and creative bus shelters for locations with limited space available.

Winning designers submitted innovative and compelling bus shelters to help improve the bus stop experience for transit riders.

Professional class

The R Stop combines the simple elegance of traditional steel members with a minimalistic style provided by its few structural components.

Artistic category: Firm 817

The Cumulus Bus Stop features luminous structures created by the artist are striking during the day but more so at night. During the day the forms are a memorable marker. At night the luminous quality of the forms create space with light.

This stop includes amenities such as solar panels, digital display, information display for timetables and route maps and power outlets for rider convenience.
