Two public-private development projects earn prestigious awards

Posted June 19, 2017

Two projects associated with Fort Worth’s urban villages — the East Rosedale Renaissance and the Berry/University Development Plan and Form-Based Code — received prestigious CLIDE awards at the annual North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) General Assembly.

CLIDE stands for Celebrating Leadership In Development Excellence. The biennial awards recognize projects in the North Central Texas region that exemplify NCTCOG’s Principles of Development Excellence.

A jury of national experts in urban planning, architecture, land development and public policy unanimously selected this year’s nine award recipients from a field of 21 qualified projects.

District 8 Councilmember Kelly Allen Gray and Texas Wesleyan University President Fred Slabach accepted the Special Development Award for the East Rosedale Renaissance project on behalf of the City of Fort Worth, Texas Wesleyan University, Freese and Nichols and the Arts Council of Fort Worth.
