New fares in effect for local transit

The Fort Worth Transportation Authority annually provides nearly 10 million passenger trips on buses, vanpools and the Trinity Railway Express.

New fares are now in effect for local buses, Trinity Railway Express and Molly the Trolley.

The Fort Worth Transportation Authority board approved local fare changes this summer that went into effect Aug. 13. Local bus fares are increasing, and the two-hour pass will no longer be offered. A new $2 single-ride local bus fare has been implemented, and the local day pass increased to $5.
