Water, sewer and street improvements coming to Diamond Hill-Jarvis area

The city’s Transportation & Public Works Department is hosting a community meeting to inform residents of the upcoming construction on eight street segments in the Diamond Hill-Jarvis area.

The meeting is planned for 6 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Diamond Hill Community Center, 1701 N.E. 36th St.

Existing water and sewer lines will be replaced and the affected streets will be rehabilitated. The streets and alleys currently scheduled for rehabilitation include:

  • North Elm Street from Northeast 30th to East Long Avenue.
  • North Elm Street from Northeast 34th Street to Northeast 35th Street.
  • Northwest 31st Street from Gould Avenue to Lincoln Avenue.
  • Weber Street from Maydell Street to Eva Street.
  • Weber Street from Northwest 37th Street to Beaumont Street.
  • North Houston Street from Northwest 35th Street to Northwest 36th Street.
  • Northeast 36th Street from Runnels Street to Deen Road.
  • Northwest 30th Street from Lincoln Avenue to Refugio Avenue.
