Eastside Blossoms, an effort to beautify east Fort Worth by planting flowering trees along roadways, parkways and in parks, was named Outstanding Organization of the Year by the East Fort Worth Business Association.
Eastside Blossoms is a project of East Fort Worth Inc., a nonprofit economic development corporation committed to improving and marketing the quality of life in east Fort Worth.
Eastside Blossoms has planted more than 600 blooming trees toward its original goal of 2,000. The group has added a landscaped East First Street entry into Gateway Park to its original plan and expects to complete $40,000 worth of improvements to the entry before the end of the year.
