Texas Rangers outfielder Delino Deshields is this year's honorary chair for the ball club's Cowboy Santas toy drive.

The Texas Rangers are participating in the 2017 Cowboy Santas toy drive, the seventh consecutive year in which the team has been involved in the City of Fort Worth’s holiday charity.

Through Dec. 18, supporters can drop off new unwrapped toys or books at the Texas Rangers Grand Slam Gift Shop at Globe Life Park in Arlington or the Rangers Fort Worth Team Shop, 316 Main St., during regular store hours. Items may also be dropped off at all Fort Worth police and fire stations.

On Dec. 18 from 4-7 p.m., the Rangers will sponsor a Cowboy Santas toy drive at Globe Life Park in Arlington in the center field Vandergriff Plaza area. Current and former Rangers players will sign autographs. Holiday movies will be shown on the video screen, the Rangers KidsZone will be open and drink and food specials will be provided. Other activities will include face painting, crafts, a photo booth and an appearance by Santa Claus.

Fans attending the Dec. 18 event may park free in Lot B and enter Globe Life Park through the Majestic Grand Slam Gift Shop.
