Fort Worth Municipal Court will observe Municipal Courts Week at the A.D. Marshall Public Safety Building, 1000 Throckmorton St., and Southwest Municipal Court, 3741 S.W. Loop 820.
The event will run during normal court business hours, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily Nov. 5-9.
Municipal Courts Week is proclaimed by the 85th Texas Legislature to appreciate the contributions that Texas municipal courts make to the safety and well-being of communities.
The court will celebrate the success of its ongoing Safe Harbor initiative, meaning that residents visiting the Municipal Court locations will not be arrested for outstanding Class C warrants issued by the Fort Worth Municipal Court.
The public is welcome at any of the events held during the week, including an open house, community engagement activities, educational opportunities and staff appreciation events. Court staff will be available to answer questions about the court’s role in the community. Free traffic safety materials and other items will be given away.
