AllianceTexas is a 26,000-acre master-planned, mixed-use community in far north Fort Worth.

AllianceTexas is estimated to have a $7.19 billion economic impact for 2018, Mike Berry, president of Hillwood Properties, told the City Council.

The 2018 figure brings the total for the development in far north Fort Worth to $76.43 billion. AllianceTexas is celebrating 30 years in 2019.

“AllianceTexas would not be what it is today without the unique partnership and vision of the City of Fort Worth, the Federal Aviation Administration and Hillwood,” Berry said. “What started with you has grown to impact all of North Texas. AllianceTexas is 26,000 acres stretching south to north from Fort Worth to Denton, and west to east from Haslet to Westlake.”

Berry said more than 45 million square feet has been developed. More than 61,600 direct jobs have been generated by 500-plus companies.

Hillwood Properties, developer of Alliance, pays property taxes to Fort Worth, Roanoke, Haslet, Northlake, Westlake, Tarrant County and Denton County, in addition to the Keller and Northwest school districts. Alliance has paid $447 million in taxes to Fort Worth over the life of the project. To date, Hillwood has paid $2.25 billion in property taxes.

These are some highlights from 2018:

  • Mercedes-Benz Financial Services is constructing its third state-of-the-art facility at Alliance.
  • A new facility for Charles Schwab is expected to open in 2019, welcoming more than 6,000 employees by 2021.
  • Stanley Black & Decker is the latest Fortune 500 company to call Alliance Northport home.
  • XPO Logistics leased a new 300,000-square-foot facility.
  • Airborne Tactical Advantage Co. opened its largest operation to date.
  • Amazon Air chose Alliance Airport to launch construction on its unique distribution base. The company is expected to occupy phase 1 as early as this fall.
  • A runway extension at Alliance Airport provided 11,000-foot dual runways, allowing greater flight capacity for air cargo customers.
