The Garrett Hull Blue Bowl Flag Football Tournament benefiting the families of fallen first responders will be played 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 15 at Farrington Field, 1501 University Drive.

Blue Bowl teams are made up local businesses, police officers and residents who unite to show support for law enforcement. Funds raised by sponsors, team registrations and donations will help the family of Garrett Hull and other fallen officers.

Co-ed teams may have up to 16 members, with eight playing at a time. There is no blocking or tackling. Register a team or reserve a spectator seat.

Pre-tournament activities include a memorial service, presentation of colors and a flyover by the Fort Worth Police helicopter.

Hull succumbed to a gunshot wound as he and other members of the Fort Worth Police Department’s Criminal Intelligence Unit attempted to apprehend three armed robbery suspects last September.
