Registration for the popular Camp Fort Worth program, which is held every summer for children ages 5-13 at Fort Worth’s community centers, is now under way.

Many sites fill up quickly, so register and place your deposit before March 31 to save money.

Early-bird registration price:

  • $625, with field trips.
  • $445, without field trips.

Fee waivers are available at community centers for families that qualify.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what you need to know:

What are the dates and times for Camp Fort Worth 2020?
This year’s Camp Fort Worth will run for nine weeks, from June 8 to Aug. 7, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

What is the price for Camp Fort Worth 2020?
Registration for a full summer of Camp Fort Worth, including field trips, will cost $655. A full summer of Camp Fort Worth without field trips will cost $475. This breaks down to a cost of only $1.01 per hour of care, activities and meals.

When can I register?
Parents can register their children for Camp Fort through March 31 and receive a $30 off early-bird discount, making the registration with field trip $625 and without field trips $445. Fee waivers are available at community centers for families who qualify, and discounts will still be available for families registering multiple children.

Parents can register their child at their community center or they can register online. Any registrations that occur after March 31, will be $30 more, so parents are encouraged to register early to save.

How much is the deposit?
Parents must put $45 down to reserve a spot for the summer. Once a spot is reserved, parents have until May 31 to pay the remaining balance.

What about extended care?
In previous years, a normal day of camp lasted from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., with an opportunity for parents to pay for extended care that covered extra hours from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. This year, there is no extended care. The enrollment fee covers the cost of an entire day of Camp Fort Worth, which lasts from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

What about field trips?
Field trips will be offered every week during Camp Fort Worth, but participation is optional.

A full summer of Camp Fort Worth that covers the summer’s nine field trips costs $625. This averages out to a cost of $20 per week, which is included in the camp fee. Field trips can also be purchased weekly at your community center in the days preceding the trip, but at a higher price ($25 per week) than you’d be paying if all trips were paid for upfront.

Can I register weekly for camp?
Yes. The weekly camp fee is $60 without field trips. You can add the $25 field trip option to any week. Also, all fees must be paid in full, and there are no discounts or waivers available with the weekly option.
