Free evening meals available for kids

Starting March 26, free evening meals for children will be available at 17 City of Fort Worth community centers.

Participation is simple, and recipients do not need to be a member of the community center or after-school program to participate, but children must be present in the vehicle when meals are picked up.

  • Meals will be available for children ages 1 to 18.
  • Meals are available Monday-Friday from 3:30-5 p.m., while supplies last.
  • Meals will consist of a cold meal with milk.
  • Meals are available on a first-come, first-served basis in a drive-through or pick-up format at these community center locations:
    • Andrew “Doc” Session Community Center, 201 S. Sylvania Ave.
    • Como Community Center, 4660 Horne St.
    • Eugene McCray Community Center, 4932 Wilbarger St.
    • Greenbriar Community Center, 5200 Hemphill St.
    • Handley Meadowbrook Community Center, 6201 Beaty St.
    • Highland Hills Community Center, 1600 Glasgow Road.
    • Hillside Community Center, 1201 East Maddox Ave.
    • Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 5565 Truman Drive.
    • North Tri-Ethnic Community Center, 2950 Roosevelt Ave.
    • Northside Community Center, 1100 N.W. 18th St.
    • R.D. Evans Community Center, 3242 Lackland Road.
    • Southside Community Center, 959 E. Rosedale St.
    • Southwest Community Center, 6300 Welch Ave.
    • Sycamore Community Center, 2525 E. Rosedale St.
    • Thomas Place Community Center, 4237 Lafayette Ave.
    • Victory Forest Community Center, 3427 Hemphill St.
